More about Aimee

 
Aimee Huxley was appointed Screen Producer Australia's Leadership Diversity Mentee in 2023, announced in early 2024. During Aimee's time on the scheme, she worked with leading Producers to improve accessibility, inclusion and authentic representation for people with disability.

In 2024, Aimee was announced as a Program Advisor for Screen Forever 39, a prestigious 4 day screen industry conference. As a Program Advisor for this event, Aimee is responsible for ensuring that conversations around disability, access and inclusion are heard and discussed.
 
The objective is for people from underrepresented backgrounds to gain visibility, helping Producers to understand the importance and value of inclusive, authentic programme and film-making. Producers will leave understanding the importance of Access Coordinators and Consultants within the industry, as well as being equipped with tools and initiatives to help them take the first step towards better access and inclusion.

Aimee's professional experience extends beyond the above. Key expertise can be found in the section below.

Within the community, Aimee acts as a pillar and advocate for others. Working part time at Guide Dogs as a Community Mobiliser and leading their Inclusion Allies on vital campaigns.
 
Alongside this, she is also involved in; educational podcasts, content creation, focus groups and community events. The important conversations created in these community projects provides a well rounded knowledge on the subject matter and places Aimee in a positive position for broad representation.​​​
